The United States Aquatic Sports Convention is the annual legislative session for Swim, Dive, Polo, Synchro and Masters Swim. This year it will be held in Greensboro, NC and Dave Anderson will attend as WI Swim's Sr Chair and as the Central Zone Coach Director, Gary Cox is on USA Dive's Board of Directors and Alex Meyers is one of three WI Swimming, Inc Athlete representatives.
Swim Practice begins for all groups on Monday, September 10. We will be following the regular schedule now with several exceptions: 1st LCM AM Tuesday 9/18 for all groups 1st Sunday 9/23, for Group 6, swimmers in Group 1 begin on Sunday, 9/16 1st dryland Mon 9/24, info out soon about the program 1st Polo Wed 9/19 4:30 PM, for senior team
Brazil is hosting an international sprint swim event on September 23rd and Adam Mania will be the backstroker for the Medley Relay. The first day of assessments / tryouts for Groups 1 & 2 are today Wednesday, 9/5 and tomorrow, 9/6. The sessions begin at 5:00 PM and go to 6:15 PM. New swimmers and returning swimmers in Groups 1 & 2 are encouraged to come for swimming and an orientation. Matt Miller will also speak to parents of athletes in attendance and will answer questions.
