Gwen had a great day in New Zealand. After a good swim, she barely missed the first bike group abut came into T2 only 1:17 down to the leader. It became apparent that Gwen was running well enough to have a chance at the end and she ran herself leterally past everyone from 22nd to 2nd in the 10 km run. Many of Schroeder's youngest swimmers got to take two starts and get the feel for a meet situation before the weekend's kick off with the Pentathlon. Gwen has two races left in this year's World Triathlon Series - Yokahama and Auckland. She will be racing Saturday but that's Friday night CST. Gwen will then travel to Autralia for two weeks before heading the New Zealand for the series final.

won the crucial duel against the brazilian by a hundredth. that allowed alexandrov, godsoe,and schneider to chill on the individuals. there was one minute in between each 50. then 4 minutes before the 200 medley relay. i got us out in the lead against brazil, alexandrov fell back just a little bit, but eugene godsoe was ablle to run down gabriel mangabeira. josh scneider took down bruno fratus on the anchor who was 4th place at the olympics just recently. From SWIMSWAM The American team of Adam Mania, Mike Alexandrov, Eugene Godsoe, and Josh Schneider won the Fast Lane meet in Brazil in a bit of an upset after topping the Australians in the final, meaning that they will split roughly $25,000 in prizes. The meet was set up in a team-by-team bracket, with the French and the Australians facing off on one side and the Americans and Brazilians on the other.
