Schroeder YMCA Swim Team South got off to a great start on Saturday with 35 new-to-swim athletes turning out for the session.  The first practice for the group will be on November, 10.  Below is a note about the first practice!   Hello Pioneers of Schroeder South YMCA Swim Team, We want to thank all of you for attending our team tryouts and welcome your family to the new Schroeder South YMCA Swim Team.  The staff is very pleased and excited about the turnout and ability level of the swimmers....

The first stop for Steve and Adam was in Genova was successful.  Steve got the Silver Medal in the 100 M Free in a time of 49.4 and Adam touched out USA's Nick Thoman also for a Silver Medal in the 100 M Back with a 51.6 - which is about 12th - 13th in the World this year - nice swimming!

  Schroeder raced well in the annual Dual versus Elmbrook.  Although the meet lasted only 1 hour from start to finish, SSTY got up and swam fast!  results

  The first match up Schroeder came away with the win in the JV game.  In the second game, EBSC narrowly defeated SSTY 8 - 7.  Good fun all the way around!

The Italian Grand Prix is a 3 legged tour of nothern Italy stopping in Viareggio, Genoa, and Bolzano. This is Adam's 4th year doing the tour and Steve's first year and first international competition. Previous grand prix participants have included USA Olympians such as Cullen Jones, Natalie Coughlin, Aaron Piersol, Nick Thoman, Davis Tarwater, Jessica Hardy, and Kim Vandenberg. Also starring in these meets are current european superstars like Yannick Agnel,  Frederica Pellegrini, Filipo Magnini, and Stanislav Donets.
