Ziyad was named to Team Sudan and he will race in Paris at the Olympic Games. Ziyad has raced and represented Sudan at the World Championships and in Continental Championships. He will be a senior at Cal, is a graduate of Rufus King and began swimming competitively at Schroeder! (200 M Back, July 31)

Sam received his invitation to join Team USA for the Junior Pan Pacific Championships to be held in Canberra, Australia, August 21-24, 2024. Sam joins other Schroeder National and National Junior Team athletes including: Lindsey Highstrom, Adam Mania, Alex Dionne, William Colbert, Mitchell Friedemann, Alex Meyers and Hannah Saiz.

Over the weekend, Schroeder raced at the annual Western Great Lakes Open held at WSAC! This meet has always provided some great competition and been a favorite of many athletes. Sam Lorenz was up first for the Schroeder team. He raced the 100 M Back on Sunday and he did very well. Good execution and he lowered his best time in the process to 55.2 - Sam was born in 2006 and is eligible to be selected to represent Team USA at the Jr Pan Pcific Championships later this summer in Australia. Last weekend Maggie Dickinson was at the Zone Select Camp hosted by USA Swimming at the Olympic Training Center. 50 athletes from the Central/Western Zone are invited based on their previous summer's Long Course performances. There were four total practices, several talks, and lots of new friends made! We are looking forward to hearing her share her experiences with the team! Way to go Maggie!

Ziyad Saleem won the first Gold Medal for Sudan at an African Championships. The competition is in Angola and the water is very warm at 89 degrees. Ziyad has the 50 and 100 back events remaining. The 50 Back should be around 1:30 PM CST today, Thursday, May 2 link to a live stream
