14 year old Cassandra Jernberg continued her record breaking streak with a new Team and State record in the 500 free tonight in the finals at the 2012 Western Great Lakes Open. Her time of 4:51.49 broke teammate Alexandra Meyer's mark by 4 seconds and eclipsed Annabelle Cripp's State mark as well. Cassy, swam to new team records in the 1650 and 1000 free last weekend at the Y Invite with 10:06 enroute to 16:41 in the mile. Her marks erased Shari Countryman's 1985 work. Great Job Cass!
