About the instructor:

Hello! I’m KeleMarie Lyons. My goal is to add value to your swimming training by giving you tools that you can immediately use to improve your performance as a swimmer and your life. As a yoga instructor, I’ll work with you to develop the body’s core strength as the basis for physical and mental enhancement. Rather than focus on strict poses, our classes incorporate a wide variety of mind-body exercise including techniques found in Tai Chi, QiGong and various yoga postures. We look at the brain as a determiner of health, wellbeing and performance. Thus, classes may include visualization, meditation and other exercises to sharpen the mind.

Many years ago, I started yoga due to a back injury. What I quickly learned is that for some yoga is rehabilitation, for others it’s a sport and for others it’s a lifestyle. Whatever the reason for doing yoga, it will enhance your overall performance in all aspects life. I have traveled the globe to study with masters, from New York to Chicago; Sedona to Sacramento in the US and Mumbai to New Delhi; Dehradun to Rishikesh in India. I've studied with masters including but not limited to: Master Seo, Master Sky, and Master Blue Ocean in the Dahn Tradition and Swami Veda Bharati, Swami Nityamuktananda, Swami Ritivan Bharati, Ma Radah Bharati in the Himalayan Tradition (Hatha Yoga). Most importantly I have kept my personal practice active and strong to cultivate the experience and energy to serve to those I teach.
