New carpet is being placed in the hallways and locker rooms and a big pipe that (hopefully) will carry lots more data into and out of the WSAC are two updates that are coming to the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center. April 11th - 14th the pool will be closed for a couple of days to thoroughly clean the filter that keeps the water crystal clear. Today there were people here evaluating the roof and taking core samples to determine what needs to be done to maintain our pool's roof....
Schroeder YMCA Member-Athletes Ready for National Competitions Over 100 Schroeder YMCA Swimmers and Divers will be competing at National competitions in the next weeks. 22 teens will travel to Greensboro, NC for the National YMCA Swimming Championships on April 1. The four day meeting begins on April 3 and has 1500 YMCA youth-members representing hundreds of YMCAs across the country. At the 2012 meet Schroeder finished 7th in combined team scoring with the girls 6th nationally and the boys at 9th overall. 49 adults will travel...
Check out where I swam this morning! Not much is new with me. I am loving my new coach and having people to train with every day. And the weather could not get any nicer! It's started to cool off a bit so it's about 50 during the nights, and then 70s during the day...perfect for sleeping and then training.
