Cassandra raced the 1500 at the 2013 Phillips 66 USA National Championships/World Championship Trials and recorded a time of 16:52.37 which established a new 15/16 age group Wisconsin State record as well as a new team record. After chilling down she'll drive back to Wisconsin to lead Schroeder's contingent of open water athletes at the 2013 Central Zone Open Water Championship at lake Andrea in Pleasant Prairie. The senior swimmers will race 5km.
Steve Cebertowicz swam a great 50 M Free in the Consolation Final finishing 3rd with a time of 22.85 and a new team record. Overall the team was just a point shy of 10th finishing 11th in Men's Team scoring. Link to meet site with complete results

Mitchell finished 9th and Adam nabbed 16th in the final of the Men's 100 M Back on Friday at the 2013 Phillips 66 USA National Swim Championships in Indianapolis. With one day left of competition Schroeder stands 8th in Men's team scoring. Tomorrow, Steve races the 50 M Free and Cassandra races the Mile! Hopefully SSTY remains in the top 10 in the Men's division and adds a some points in the women's contest on the the last day of these championships.

Adam Mania and Mitchell Friedemann advanced to the final of the 50 Meter Backstroke at the 2013 Phillips 66 USA National Swimming Championship / World Championship Trials in Indianapolis, IN. Tonight's final should go off at about 8:30 PM EST / 7:30 PM CST. Adam is the third qualifier at 25.13 behind 2012 Olympic Gold medalist Matt Grevers 24.98 and World # 4 and top qualifier David Plummer 24.80. Mitchell is the 8th qualifier at 25.61. Adam Mania finished 7th in the 50 M Back and teammate Mitchell Friedemann claimed 8th in the Final of the 50 M back stroke at the 2013 Phillips 66 USA National Championship in Indianapolis, IN. Mania swam to a 25.14 and Friedemann was 25.60 1/100th of a second slower and faster respectively from their prelim perfromances. Tomorrow both athletes will race the 100 M back and they will be joined by teammates Carl Newenhouse and Ellis Miller. The team is currently in 8th place overall after three days of competition...
Schroeder's relay won the 4 x 100 m free relay in a time of 3:22.28 just shy of the club and state record here at the 2013 USA National Championship / World Championship Trials. Mitchell Friedemann led off with 51.28, Steve Cebertowicz split 49.94, Adam Mania was 50.02 and Ellis Miller anchored in 51.04. This is the second National title for the club in the last four years in this event.
