Cassandra Jernberg broke her own team record and narrowly missed a second swim in the 400 M freestyle. Her time was 4:18.68. Tonight the men race the 4x100 free relay at about 7:05 pm PST.

  Alexandra had a strong prelim swim in the 100 Meter Free at the 2013 United States Open.  Her time of 56.32 eclipsed her own team record that she had established at Sectionals a couple of weeks ago but it was also good enough to break the 17/18 WI Swimming Record of the great Michele Jesperson (BD) set in 1992.  Finals begin at 5:00 PM PST and Alex is slated to swim 5:33 PM. Alex finished 6th in the B final of the women's 100 free at the 2013 US Open in a time of 56.20 which broke her now old state and team record!

The 2013 United States Open is set to kick off Tuesday, July 29 in Irvine, California.  Schroeder has a good squad here including Alex Meyers, Cassandra Jernberg, Ellis Miller, Mitchell Friedemann, Steve Cebertowicz, Carl Newenhouse, Jake Kalinowski and Adam Mania. Schroeder had a fantastic meet at the 2013 Central Zone Section 1 championships at the U of MN! The team finished 7th in combined team scoring, 6th in women and 18th in men's. The women managed an exciting win in the 4 x 200 free relay!  (pictured)   Summary of Records

Schroeder is off to a fast start at the 2013 Sectional Championships at the U of MN. Highlights for day1 finals were new team records for Alex Meyers in the 100 free and Gwen Worlton in the 200 breast. Schroeder also placed Abi Raatz, Ashlyn Schoof and Carolyn Jungers into the finals of the 100 free. Kevin Ewald and Nick Petersen swam well for the men too.
