Obviously a thrill for any athlete to be able to meet, let alone race right next to a real Schroeder Swim Team athlete!   Seriously, this is the kind of stuff that makes our sport different, where good swimmers can race against Olympians - Katie and Caitlin raced next to one another in the prelims of the 200 Back at the MPLS Grand Prix.

Schroeder continued to shine at the Grand Prix in Minneapolis in the prelims of the final day.  Katie Taylor and Holy Stoll are back in the 200 IM in finals, Abi Raatz is 8th in the 100 Free, Carl is 4th in the 200 Back and Ashlyn is the top qualifier in the 200 Back with a new team record of 1:57.89.

Great work at MN Grand Prix!  Katie Taylor, Holly Stoll, Ashlyn Schoof, Hannah Saiz and Conner Andrew are racing well in Minneapolis.  Schoof went to 54.mid in the back tonight and Hannah just missed going under in the 2 Fly!  Abi Raatz and Carl Newenhouse are shining for the Gophers!

The Schroeder record board is getting nervous and it's only mid-November.  Ashlyn Schoof smoked her own 100 Yd Back team record this morning in Minneapolis and Hannah Saiz and Holly Stoll put up times that are faster than the current records in the the 100  200 Fly and 400 IM but both athletes are UNAT for several more weeks.  Ashlyn lowered her back to 55.00.

Great photos from last night's Blue v White Conference Meet.  Thanks Tom Michelson!

With a final score of 274 to 260, the White Team lead by Coach Ann White and Team Captain Ziyad Saleem won their 2nd straight SSTY Conference Dual Meet.  It was a very close meet, as both teams were tied going into the final relays.  The Blue Team lead by Coach Matt Miller and Team Captain Megan Hartlieb put up a great fight, but ultimately fell short of the crown. The Blue Team will be back in action next Thursday (November 21, 2013) as they face off against the Red...

An update!  Today was a day where the athletes who are being offered athletic aid received their National Letters of Intent - it's a fun way to declare officilaly where you are going to school!   Schroeder's Seniors have been busy this fall taveling far and wide to campuses and some have already made decisions for the fall of 2014!  Congrats and Schroeder still has several to go... Chandler Lewis - UW Green Bay Meghan Casey - Tufts (early decision) Khia Kurtenbach - U of Chicago  Nick Petersen - Northwestern...

Steve Cebertowicz and Mania raced in Northern Italy.  Adam had a very good meet as he was the silver medalist in the the 100 M Back and IM and he won the 50 M back.  Adam was the overall Back Champion! Photos of the meet are here.  There are quite a few of Adam - couldn't find Steve

Here are some great pics from the Red v White inaugural conference dual meet - thanks to Tom Michelson!
