Meet Hannah Saiz - SSTY's Newest Pro
Hannah Saiz is a new addition to Schroeder's post grad group. After a very decorated career at Kenyon College, Hannah has landed in Milwaukee after sampling two other possible teams in Montreal and Florida. Although Hannah has been a successful competitive swimmer her whole life, her time at Kenyon brought her to a new level of success.
This summer, Hannah swam an outstanding 200 M fly that has her just outside a top 100 World Ranking (2:12.9) and she owns a 53.2 and 1:55.9 in the butterfly events in yards.
Tuesday Hannah rode to practice in the morning on her bike and then to Splash Swim School where she is a swimming instructor for youth. After work, she returned to the WSAC for afternoon training and a dryland session before pedaling home. She's been the first one in the pool and can be seen rolling out on deck after most sessions. She is a great example for all of our younger swimmmers.
Hannah contributes to SWIMSWAM and she recently reviewed DIII swimming for the 2013-2014 season
Say hello to Hannah when you see her on deck. She plans to race at the Arena Grand Prix in Minneapolis, Winter Nationals and the Pro-Am meet in OK this fall.
Currently Hannah is getting around primarily on a bike. If you have a spare car that you'd be interested in loaning or allowing her to use as the weather turns colder and snowier please let Hannah or Dave know!
